In 1877, Gustave Eiffel came to Moldova and built a railway bridge . 12 years later, he became famous by creating the famous tower in the center of Paris. The zone is cross-border and access to it is prohibited without special permission. The zone is monitored by the border guards.

Stejarul din satul Cobîlnea, raionul Șoldănești, Moldova, este cel mai bătrân copac din Moldova și un monument al naturii. Are aproximativ 700 de ani. Conform legendei, sub acest stejar s-a odihnit domnitorul moldovean Ștefan cel Mare după o bătălie. Copacul se află sub protecția statului ca monument al naturii al Moldovei. A fost restaurat, curățat de lemnul putred și sigilat cu ciment. În prezent, stejarul continuă să crească și nu a mai rămas nicio ramură moartă. Lângă copac se află un bust al domnitorului și o biserică ortodoxă.

Object 1180, also known as the Olişcani bunker, is an unfinished underground structure located in a forest near the village of Olişcani, Sholdanesh District, Republic of Moldova. Construction began around 1984–1985 as part of the Soviet strategic infrastructure project under the Warsaw Pact, and ceased in 1991 following the collapse of the USSR. The project was initiated as a backup command post for the General Staff of the Southwestern Directorate of the Warsaw Pact Armed Forces. Work was disguised as a civil-industrial project, with tightly controlled access and documentation withdrawn in 1991. The estimated budget was approximately 32 million Soviet rubles. The main structure consists of two cylindrical reinforced concrete bodies (diameter ~32–36 m, depth ~60 m, 12–13 underground levels), connected by galleries. Technical systems (ventilation, power, communications) were not installed. Above ground are the foundations of auxiliary buildings, including a five-story residential building (unfinished), administrative buildings, and access roads, all constructed of reinforced concrete slabs.

A 19th-century historical monument built in honour of Pyotr Wittgenstein, hero of the War of 1812 and owner of the Stroiești estate. The tower offers a wonderful view of the Dniester and the village.

Once part of a long-range air target detection system. A radar station. The sphere protected the antennas from the weather. The former barracks now houses the St. Elijah monastery. The acoustics inside the dome are unusual — be sure to step inside and make some noise to hear the echo.

A hill with a fine view. The climb from the village of Căbăiești is quite steep, but you can also come through the village of Vânători on a gentler road.

The viewpoint on Bălănești Hill — the highest point of Moldova, 429 metres above sea level. On site there is a pillar with signposts, an information board, a gazebo and an observation tower.

On the hill above the village of Vorniceni stands a wooden cross offering a fine view into the distance and over the neighbouring villages.

On the outskirts of Naslavcea, near the Dniester hydroelectric station, lies the Blue Lake. A worked-out and flooded argillite quarry, now a lake with astonishing turquoise water. On its shore you can pick up pieces of argillite in various shades. The lake lies in the border zone and can only be visited with the guard's permission.

A great place to cool off from the scorching sun on a hot summer day. Inside you can have fun riding a motorcycle or an ATV. Just stick to the main passage and don't get lost. Arrows pointing to the exit can be spotted on the walls here and there.

The "La Castel" landscape reserve is a protected area near the village of Gordinești, along the Racovăț valley, on a strip 200 m wide and 5 km long in Edineț district, covering 746 ha. The gorge above the Racovăț river valley next to Gordinești is a unique place — a wonder of nature inherited through millions of years of deposits. Here you will discover eye-pleasing landscapes and rich flora and fauna, and best of all, hear from the locals the legends connected with this place. The very name makes one believe a castle once existed. All that remains of it are the height of the cliffs and the memory of a beautiful girl once imprisoned within the castle walls.

Trinca Gorge is a geological and palaeontological natural monument in Edineț district, Republic of Moldova. It lies south-west of the village of Trinca, in the valley of the Draghiște river.

The Țiglău rock resembles a village gate. Majestic in appearance, it stands on the right bank of the Lopatnic river, a tributary of the Prut, which flows toward Corjeuți from the north-east, cutting almost diagonally through the massif of limestone reefs and forming deep, narrow gorges of particular charm.
